Netflix and the BBC are starting to block vpn's and smartdns services. It was in the news back in January. It does not affect all vpn and smart dns services. It is pain as I like to watch non linear tv, however, BBC is available through cablecom, swisscom and sunrise. You will just have to remember to record things rather than relying on iplayer.

A few weeks back, the iPlayer App was updated and this is what Overplay works great with my 2012 E-series Samsung TV, and I believe it can also work quite well with your D-series to watch BBC iPlayer and ITV Player (as well as BBC sport and Netflix regions).
