Dear Lifehacker, My router sucks. My connection goes wonky once every few days, and I have to unplug the router and reboot it (I believe this is called a hard reset) to fix the problem. Obviously Resetting the Linksys router to its default factory settings can help you when you forget your password, or can’t access the router setup webpage. Note: Press and hold the Reset button of the router and wait for the LED light in the router to flicker to complete the process.
